April marks the peak of spring which means the beginning of a fresh new start as well as a fresh new slew of the trendiest events to hit Singapore.

1. Marvel’s Red Carpet Event

Always wanted to meet your favourite Avengers’ heroes irl? Well, there’s a chance for you to do so.

With the release of Avengers: Infinity War looming around the corner, Robert Downey Jr.(Iron Man), Benedict Cumberbatch(Doctor Strange) and Karen Gillian(Nebula) and Director Joe Russo will be gracing our sunny shores in a red carpet event on 16th April, 7 pm at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza.

Not only will you get to meet your favourite Avengers, you will also get to indulge in a film screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.

There will be concession stands selling food and beverages.

And like we said, it’s completely free.

Registration starts at 7 am at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Hall B and will be based on a first come first serve basis.

2. Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day

With temperatures reaching an all-time high, who wouldn’t a cool and sweet treat? Here comes Ben and Jerry’s to our rescue!

From 12 pm to 8 pm on 10th April, Ben and Jerry outlets all across the island are dishing out ice cream for free!

Free Cone Day began in 1979 in Burlington Vermont, in appreciation to its customers for showing their love and support to their business.

3. Fashion Revolution 2018 Swap Party 28 April

4. Singapore Heritage Festival

A history buff, or just someone looking to understand the heritage of Singapore? Then this is the month for you.

The annual event returns for its 15th edition, packed with a plethora of activities from films and talks to exhibitions and guided tours.

Happening from 6th April to 22nd April, the island-wide festival will take you across the many districts in Singapore and discover the rich heritage and history of each district.

5. Singapore’s Playground 1930-2030 National Museum

Fancy a trip down memory lane? This new exhibition at the National Museum will awaken a sense of nostalgia and bring out the inner kid the you.

The More We Get Together: Singapore’s Playgrounds 1930-2030 allows visitors to discover the behind-the-scenes making of the playground.

The exhibition will mark its opening on begin on 21st & 22nd April with many exciting activities such as balloon sculpting, film screenings and playground-inspired bouncy castles.

6. OneRepublic

The Avengers are not the only stars to come to Singapore. OneRepublic is set to make a return to Singapore at The Star Theatre on 23rd April!

The five-member band boasts a string of hit singles such as “ Apologise” , “If I Lose Myself’ and “ All The Right Moves” as well as many music awards and nominations.

Furthermore, lead singer Ryan Tedder has won three Grammy Awards for his song writing for Adele and Taylor Swift. This is one concert you cant miss!

Tickets range from $88-$268. So hurry and grab your tickets, because this critically acclaimed band will definitely leave you counting stars.

7. Sakura Fair

The sakura (otherwise known as Cherry Blossoms) season is in full swing all over Japan.

However that doesn’t mean we don’t get to enjoy the sakura festivities here in Singapore too.
