Montana Brew Bar

What a fancy name! It sounded like it is located in Montana right? The Red Velvet Waffles will equally make you a little fanciful in the head after that first bite.

The waffles sit on the generous vanilla ice cream and it arrives looking like it is going to topple right off the plate. The first bite proves that this is the right choice, for the waffle is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Coupled with the ice cream, it sends you to fantasy land.

Department of Caffeine

The guys here in DOC are the serious bunch – serious for bringing you good, honest and delicious waffles that is. They pride themselves for the satisfying dishes that they bring you every single time you visit them.

One of the best waffles we had was their Buttermilk Waffles with Butter Rum Banana. The butter rum bananas and pure maple sauce is a wonderful marriage and it is a dessert that you should definitely try.

Les Patisseries

This café pops up in Toa Payoh that serves waffles which are value for money. The Horffles is served with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, Horlick powder, Horlick sauce, toasted almonds and fresh berries.

This waffle has a crispy exterior and a nice chewy bite inside. The Horlick itself is not overly sweet and complement nice with the vanilla ice cream. It also gives the waffles an extra zing and tastes great with every bite.

On The Table

This café is a little out of the way in Pasir Panjang, but the laid-back little gem packs a punch indeed. It serves a classic Waffle with Single Scoop ice cream and the waffle comes thin and not much to be seen. However, you will be sold after the first bite.

It is a perfect dessert after dinner as it does not fill you up the way some of the thicker ones would. Best of all, they have a wonderful range of ice cream flavours which you can choose from.

Twenty Grammes

Twenty Grammes uses soft serves instead of ice cream and their Froyo on Waffle is great. It comes with a generous serve of froyo, fresh berries and a milk chocolate and pure maple syrup sauce.

The sauce is a perfect marriage of chocolate and maple syrup and goes well with the froyo and waffle. The froyo melts nicely and you can wipe it clean with the waffle.

Hatter Street

This is a café tucked away in the Northeast that is famous for their home made brownies. However, their waffles are worthy of mention because they are not the normal waffles that you will get anywhere.

Their waffles are served with local flavours such as Gula Melaka Sauce and Pandan ice cream and the waffles are not the fluffy kind too.

Rabbit Owl Depot

This café serves a perfect after dinner waffles due to its smaller size in comparison with the regular waffles you get anywhere. Their Snowflake Waffle is served with Thai Coconut ice cream and makes it the to-go place for many people who love Thai Coconut ice cream.

Creamier

Creamier is a famous place for ice cream and hence it is no surprise to most that it is also a great place for waffles. Waffles here are crispy on the outside and moist of the inside. It goes very well with almost any ice cream flavours that you may fancy and will leave you wanting more.

The Cold Pantry

This one is special, mainly because they improvised on their waffles. Guess what? They have a Charcoal Vanilla Ice Cream with Root Beer Sauce Waffles. Yes, you read right, it is root beer sauce.

Yums! The waffle here is more towards the cakey side but it makes the ice cream and root beer sauce even better.

Assembly Coffee

Assembly Coffee serves a fantastic Buttermilk Waffle that hits the spot and meets all expectations. It is crispy on the outside and extremely fluffy on the inside.
