Urgh being a girl can be tough when you have long hair and don’t have the balls to cut it short. Here are some real struggles that make girls want to shave bald like NS men.
Long showers
Have you woken up late and realise that you only have 5 minutes left for shower, and you couldn’t risk stepping out of the house with an oil scalp…but having long hair takes 15 minutes to wash…and that DOESN’T include drying time
Tangles
Especially on days you are too lazy to use conditioners, your hair decides to knot and you can’t untangle them. URGH. And when you use brute force to untangle them, your hair becomes crinkled.
The urge to chop it off
Every time you see a beautiful girl in a short bob or shoulder length hair, you know that you could be like her if you chop it off. But you dare not take a risk.
Split ends
With long hair, the ends of your hair are most susceptible to damage, not only tangles. Split ends are common for long hair.
The WIND
When you hair is on point but this gust of wind hits your face…the hair style that you’ve spent 30 minutes perfecting is literally gone with the wind.
“How should I wear my hair???”
Having long hair is fun to play around with. There’s so many styles to choose from but some days, you just don’t know. Your boring straight Asian hair is too limp, but curls requires too much effort.
It’s freaking hot
When long hair rests on your back, you can literally feel the heat it traps. With Singapore being so freaking hot, there are times you just want to rip out your scalp.
Getting hair in your food
When you have long hair and you look down on your meals, not only your vision gets blocked by hair, but your MOUTH too. There are times you end up eating your hair.
Dropping hair everywhere
Long hair means that each strand is heavier, and therefore, dropping hair becomes more frequent. It makes your room dirtier, and unsightly, with all hairs on the floor.
Clogging up the shower
Girls, it is a common sight that clumps of hair gets trapped in the shower draining. It gets SUPER GROSS if you don’t clean it regularly.
