Instant noodles are all the rage right now.

And unlike the past, instant noodles today aren’t just cheap. They’re good and exciting too.

Go to any supermarket and look at the instant noodles section. There are so many choices there a restaurant can open up selling only instant noodles and they can come up with a full menu’s worth.

So there are people who eat instant noodles not because they’re broke, but they just love the dish.

If you happen to be one of the people who go crazy over new instant noodles on the shelf, here’s one thing you must know.

Instant Noodles Aren’t The Healthiest Food Choice

According to a Menshealth article, instant noodles contain a “high amount of fat, saturated fat and sodium, as well as fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals”.

Each packet of instant noodles can easily have as much as 1,700mg of sodium. Just to show how bad the figure is, that’s about 85% of a person’s daily recommended intake.

So if you’re the kind of who isn’t satisfied with just one pack of instant noodles every meal, you’re basically overshooting the sodium intake you should have every single instant noodle meal.

Hard to believe? Here, take a look at a video we’ve done for instant noodles. I bet you’ll swear off instants noodles after watching it.

He started to experience bloating stomach, stomachache and nausea.

When his family took him to a hospital for treatment, they diagnosed him with terminal stage stomach cancer.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the cancer has already spread to his other organs.

He fought with cancer for a year before eventually succumbing to the disease.

But of course, do remember that other factors might come into play. Though it’s important to note that too much of anything isn’t good.

Doctor Advised Public To Watch Their Eating Habits

A doctor at the hospital urged others to not eat so much of the following:

  • Sausages
  • Smoked Meat
  • Pickled Food
  • Instant Noodles

These, he said, have been linked to the cause of cancer.

It was also mentioned that stomach cancer is very hard to detect in the early stage, which is why a majority of stomach cancer patients are diagnosed in the terminal stage.

So stay safe, enjoy your instant noodles, just not too much.
