For those who have tried making risotto before, this dish is well-known to be rather time-consuming. This rice cooker recipe, however, makes cooking this gourmet dish relatively fuss-free! In case you don’t know where to find the exotic-sounding “arboria rice” in this recipe, it’s available at most gourmet supermarkets or gets it delivered to your doorstep by ordering from RedMart.

Noob Cook’s website is my noob bible to all things culinary when I just moved into my own home, and one of the first dishes I tried out was the rice cooker version of Hainanese Chicken Rice because it’s simply too easy and fuss-free to make! The website also provides recipes for making your own ginger sauce and chilli sauce to further complement your aromatic kuay peng, or you can simply buy ready-made ones from the nearest NTUC.

Claypot Chicken Rice

Another of Noob Cook’s amazing rice cooker recipes is the Claypot Chicken Rice. Although it doesn’t necessarily beat the clay pot version, the taste is still quite legit. You could also add in ingredients to your liking – chopped salted fish, anyone?
