Gone are the days where the alcohol store at Holiday Inn opposite Zouk was rife with rows of partygoers eager to get their hands on cheap bottles of alcohol before midnight.
Gone are the days where the iconic Zouk Bridge was flooded with groups of youths pre-drinking before entering the club. And gone are the days of cheap alcohol? Surely not!
Albeit Singapore’s infamy as a country with one of the most expensive alcohol prices in the world, here are 8 places in Singapore that (we believe) will make you 不醉不归 (drink till you drop).
Located in the West at International Business Park, Idle bar offers bottomless Gin, Vodka, rum, bourbon and beer for one fixed price. $30 for the guys and $25 for the ladies. Idle is open Mondays to Saturdays from

Located in Boat Quay, Refuge is the place to be for hip-hop lovers. Their new tenant, Limited Edition Concepts, has a wine buffet every Tuesday from 6-8pm. They also sell drinks for $5 each (from 5pm to 9pm on weekdays and 6pm to 8pm on weekends).

Located in the west at Warren Golf and Country Club, this bar offers free flow of alcohol every Monday to Saturday from 5-11pm. Additionally, ladies get free drinks every Wednesday night. On top of that, customers can also get a chance to win cash and prizes in their weekly ‘So You Think You Can Drink’ challenge, where customers compete with one another by chugging down pints of beers in the fastest time possible. Their resident band, Jessica James and Joshua Alexis, also play ‘live’ every Sunday and Monday from 7:15pm to 10pm.

The Fickle Mussel A fellow partner with Idle, The Fickle Mussel promotes the same liquid buffet as Idle (free flow of gin, whiskey, vodka, rum, bourbon and beer). They are located at Goldhill Shopping Centre in Novena and serve up some delicious seafood as well (as its name suggests). Paying a visit to this delectable gastropub for their Free Flow Wine and Cheese Night every Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm will get you free flow of wine which includes Merlot Cabernet.
