Fans of the Chirashi Don, you are missing out if you have never heard of Teppei Syokudo. At the price of $16 nett, you get a full bowl of Kaisendon (also known as Chirashi Don) complete with chunky and juicy cubes of raw fish.

We must say that for the price, the serving portion is extremely generous too! Try it for yourself at their various outlets and you’ll know.

For a cheap Chirashi Don fix, visit Sushiro at Thomson Plaza. A bowl of Chirashi Don costs only $12.80 and we daresay they do not compromise on quality.

The best thing is, even if they decide (choy!) to include service charge and GST in the near future, it will likely still be amongst the cheapest in town.

3) The Botanist

This restaurant and café is one of the newest kids on the block, opening its doors to hungry patrons only in early November. Located in a slightly more far flung corner of Singapore, it does take some smart navigation to find.

The Botanist serves Western food such as Baked Eggs ($19), Tagliatelle Carbonara ($18) and Croque Madame ($18), amongst others. Although the prices may be rather steep, at least we can find comfort in knowing that those are flat rates with service charges and GST absorbed.

4) Creation Café
