9 Benefits of PAssion Card Apart from Using It as an Ez-Link Card & Earning Points in Giant

If you have an image of a cashier in Giant Supermarket saying, “PAssion Card member?” whenever you hear the phrase “Passion Card”, it’s normal because some of us have this impression too.

In the last few years, PAssion Card has taken the whole of Singapore by storm: first introduced in 2005 as a membership card for the People’s Association (PA), it has now become mainstream ever since it incorporated “EZ-link” function into the card in 2009, and then adding the feature to accumulate points and redeem promotions in major supermarkets like Cold Storage and Giant.

Okay, so everyone should know about the EZ-link function and the point system. Are there any more benefits? Well, you’ll be surprised.

You can have a PAssion POSB Debit Card
It’s just like a normal PAssion card…but it’s a debit card for your POSB or DBS bank account as well. In other words, you could add the feature of “banking” into your PAssion Card. Now, is that cool or what?

You get LOTS of privileges in LOTS of shops
Want to buy a new pair of glasses? As a PAssion Card member, you get 15% to 20% off regular priced items. Want to have a buffet? You can accumulate points, not just in Cold Storage and Giant
Many people think these are the only two places to accumulate points as they go there often, but apparently, you can gain points from all shops by Dairy Farm Singapore. The relatively unknown places are Guardian and Market Place by Jason.

There is a PAssion Card for the Elderly
Known as the PAssion Silver Concession Card, people above the age of 60 will receive this, which replaces the purple Senior Citizen Concession Card (i.e. the Ez-Link card for the elderly). The card is free for all senior citizens and they should all have received it via mail since last year (2017). In addition to it being an Ez-Link card and PAssion Card, there are also exclusive offers, like a 50% off all water sports courses in all PA Water-Venture outlets and more!
