I used to play Warcraft when I was 12. Yes, that’s when it first came out and my brother brought the game back home. He was obsessed with it, and when I started playing, I knew why.

After many, many years, Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment have gone and made the dreams of many fans come true. They’ve finally gone and made a movie after announcing it as far back as 2006. And I must say, the trailer I saw yesterday is top class stuff.

The movie is directed by Duncan Jones. For those who don’t know him, he’s the man behind the science fiction film, Moon. That movie alone has won 9 awards, so you know he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Back to the story of Warcraft. The land of Azeroth is about to face war against the Orcs. Natives of Azeroth, the human faction, are not happy that the Orcs have come into their planet to look for a new place to live. And these Orc warriors are tough baddies. They’re fleeing the dying world called Draenor.

The one link between the two worlds are the Dark Portals. Humans are facing impending destruction, and the Orcs are looking at extinction. The movie portrays a do-or-die situation for both races.

The leader of the Orcs, Durotan is going to meet up with the leader of the humans, Anduin Lothar; they will have to work together in order to preserve their home, families and people. Played by Toby Kebbell and Travis Fimmel, they did an outstanding job in portraying the roles and immersed themselves to near perfection in the trailer.

And to top it off, there’s a particular creature that’s half-human and half-Orc, Garona Halforcen, who is played by Paula Patton. She has got a tough job to do as she needs to decide who she swears allegiance to. Especially when she’s a survivor in the midst of the Horde-Alliance battle.

The movie was made at a crazy ass budget of $100 million, but judging by the FX seen on the trailer, it was worth every cent spent. I can’t wait to see the movie the moment it hits the cinemas here. Warcraft is expected to be released around June 10, 2016.

Trust me when I say this, you’ll be counting down to Warcraft more than Captain America’s Civil War and X-Men’s Apocalypse. Now, we’re all praying hard that the movie is going to do the trailer justice, because this won’t be the first time where the trailer of the movie is even better than the actual show.

In the meanwhile, check out the trailer and play the game to sate your excitement.
