The First 2 Weeks of Feb Will be Hot AF. Goodbye, Winter S’pore

It was like a dream: Singapore, our dear old unnecessarily sunny and humid nation, was experiencing something akin to winter in the early weeks of Jan.

In fact, temperatures actually dipped below 22 degrees celsius, an occurrence that can be best described as a phenomenon, considering it’s Singapore we’re talking about.

But like every other dream, things have to come to an end eventually.

Although this one didn’t just end.

It became a practical nightmare.

Heads up, folks, because the first two weeks will be hot. Real hot. So don’t be surprised if you end up like this guy:

Dry and warm

According to the Meteorological Service Singapore on Thursday (1 Feb), dry, warm and occasionally windy weather conditions are expected for the first half of February.

Singapore will be going through the “dry phase” of the northeast monsoon season, with rainfall predicted to be below normal.

“Compared with the very wet weather experienced in January, the first half of February is forecast to be relatively dry with some warm days,” it added.

Daily temperatures could reach as high as 34 degrees Celsius on a few days.

But it’s not all bad

The heat, that is.

Within the same period, short thundery showers are expected in the afternoons, for three to five days.

A weak monsoon surge will also be making its rounds, bringing “windy conditions with passing showers and cooler temperatures” on a few days.

During windy or rainy days, daily minimum temperatures could range between 23 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius.

Nevertheless

Prep your summer wear, because winter wear’s so Jan 2018.

And I feel compelled to remind you: stay hydrated during this period of time! (Although admittedly I’m not exactly following the protocol myself)

So get ready, and stay ready, people, because it’s gonna be hot.

Sweating hot.

Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
