In this time and age, we should always remember not to underestimate the power of social media – well, not for these two girls who stole a box of hair bleach from Jurong Point anyway.

Just yesterday, Facebook user Claudia Scarlett posted three CCTV footage of two girls stealing one carton of hair bleach from a store in Jurong Point. Upon examining the footage, our team believes that it happened in a Toy Outpost outlet, a box concept store in Jurong Point.

In the CCTV footage, the two girls were first seen ‘discussing’ about their plans to leave the store. After which, one girl grabs one box of hair dye and heads out of the store, while the other is seen heading towards the cashier to distract the lady from her friend.

However, the two girls were soon tracked down by Claudia via social media, and she soon got in contact with one of the girls via Whatsapp.

And that’s where it all got interesting.

In a bid to give the girls a second chance, Claudia took the liberty to track down their numbers (wow, stalking skills dope AF) and demanded that they return her the box of hair dye immediately.

I’m not sure about you, but it seems to be that the girls did not seem the least bit guilty. Yes, they did apologise, but rather than admitting to their mistakes and returning the box of hair bleach immediately, they still came up with a ton of excuses to not return.

And, that’s not all. Rather than feeling remorse and bringing the box of hair bleach down to the store, they still had the nerve to give an address to Claudia so that Claudia could pick up the box of hair bleach and bring it back to the store.

Really? You are expecting someone to clean up after after you’ve created such a huge mess? #Strawberrygeneration

Many of Claudia’s friends, too, went the extra mile to help her track down both girls. The girls were apparently pretty well known in the circle, and many people even knew about their living conditions.

One of the girls has since been caught, while the other is still allegedly on the run.

Moral of the story? Stealing is wrong. And even if you wanted to do it, don’t blatantly take one basket of hair bleach and run out of the store lah.
