I‘m pretty sure that over the past weekend, you’d be busy following up on the case of a 26-year-old man who jumped on a Grab car.

So much so that you’d not care about the man who left his phone unattended at a MRT station, then blamed SMRT for being irresponsible.

Here’s a complete overview of the 26-year-old monkey if you hadn’t known.

But there’s more you need to know about the case.

26-Year-Old Monkey Who Jumped on Grab Car Faces Almost $15K Bill

He must be regretting his actions now. Even if it’s not because he was arrested and charged, but because of the repair fees of the car.

The Grab driver’s son, Koh, said to Mothership.sg that his father had negotiated with the culprit on Sunday, 6 May.

But they did not have a conclusion as the workshop wasn’t open.

He’s determined to make the 26-year-old pay the full amount for the repair as he doesn’t see the point of paying for another person’s mistake.

It was understood that a man approached the family and suggested crowdfunding as a way to help in this situation, but they refused.

The final amount is S$14,967.48 (including a GST of S$979.18)

Which, of course, brings to the next question: is that a BMW?

Oh. It’s a BMW 5 series (the same series the $10 BMW driver had), if that invoice is accurate.

Wow. Just, WOW.

Pretty sure we’ll love to be in this Grab car instead of jumping on this Grab car.

By the way, if you didn’t know how expensive cars are, here, take a look at a video we’ve done on the cost of car ownership (P.S. The car in the video is a BMW 5-series as well, HAHA):

Bus Driver Filmed ‘Dozing Off’ When Driving Actually Has ‘Neck Problems’

On 7 May, a 25-second video was posted on Facebook by KP Lau. It shows an SBS Transit bus driver dozing off while driving.

And there you are, thinking.

He’s holding so many people’s lives in his hands and he’s sleeping on the job?!

And as expected, with the power of social media, the Powers That Be of SBS soon saw this video.

The bus driver got investigated, CCTV footage got checked and the driver got questioned.

This is what they have to say.

The driver actually has neck problems which requires him to bend his head up and down in an exaggerated manner.

They added that throughout his bus journey, he had “kept to his lane, slowed down when approaching bus stops and also stopped safely behind other buses or vehicles”.

He even conducted a right turn safely during the trip.

Ms Tammy Tan, senior VP of SBS Transit Corporate Communications said that if they had found him dozing off, they’ll take serious actions against the driver.

She added that he is certified medically fit to drive.

So there you go, given how KP Lau was able to safely upload the video, the driver is either not dozing off, or he’s just so good he can sleep and work at the same time.

But I got to say, really, the entire bus is in danger because the driver is suspected to be dozing off.

Instead of waking the driver up, you decided to let things take its course and filmed it all down instead.
