There’s been a crazy trend online lately. You probably won’t believe it, but it involves applying 100 layers (no more and no less) being applied onto your face.
I’m talking mascara, eyeliners, lipstick and yes, even foundation.
The viral makeup stunt started with Jenna Marbles. She told everyone she’s only got three looks in particular. She added a fourth to the mix, and it started to get terrifying.
The crazy bit? Everyone else joined in!
The 100-layer makeup challenges
I mean, for instance, take a look at this entire nail polish mountain on a person’s fingernails.
And if this isn’t mind-blowing enough for you and your buddies, soak in this video on 100 layers of mascara.
Did I mention there’s another video just dedicated to makeup foundation?
A 100-layer everything
When Jenna Marbles took notice of this, she dedicated herself to elevating the 100 layers challenge by going all the way – a 100-layer of everything!
The internet has gone crazy
Yes, the internet has officially gone nuts. People are actually impressed by the 100 layers of makeup challenge. There was one fantastic comment by Paul Johnson.
He pointed out that it would be so much easier to gauge the weight of a single application, multiply it by 100 times and apply it all at once with the help of a butter knife.
Now that, my friends, is a fact that we can’t ignore. I mean it’s an honest suggestion that does make sense. It saves time and makes the challenge easier to complete.
If I ever took part in the 100-make up layer challenge, I’d give his suggestion a try. I’d be able to save myself time and prove that the challenge is something feasible, or an utter waste of time.
