If you’ve these things in your bedroom, you’re bleeding money

We love to decorate our bedrooms with things that we love. However, from the fengshui perspective, there are certain things you should avoid placing in your master bedroom as these things bring discord between the couple, misfortune or money loss. Some of them are also bad for the ladies. If you believe in feng shui, read on to find out which are the things that you should not place in the bedroom.

Do not place paintings of predators
Paintings such as a ferocious tiger or a hunting eagle should be avoided for a harmonious house. These paintings bring a sense of evil that will cling to the bedroom. In some extreme cases, such paintings might cause death in the family. These painting of predators also create discord in a couple’s relationship and it could well destroy the harmony in the family. They will also “eat away” at your wealth or prevent positive energy to follow you in your career.

Do not place plants with sharp edges or plants with natural hard trucks/leaves
Plants such as cactus and cycads (铁树) should be avoided as they are thorny and hard. Such plants create discord and unhappiness due to their sub-optimal appearances. The unhappiness could then become a stumbling block for the couple in the money department if they are not careful about it. It is usually fine to place cactus in other parts of the house such as the living room, but cycads should be place outside the house for a harmonious family.

Do not put a fish tank in the bedroom
Placing a fish tank in the bedroom is not ideal as water is believed to bring the energy of worry into the bedroom. Water element is also considered to cool down the fire element in the bedroom and hence is believed to dampen the sensual atmosphere for the couple. Fishes and water vegetation also represent energy of movement which disrupts the calmness of the bedroom. Combining these elements into a fish tank will hence cause negative energy to permeate the bedroom. The stagnation of water flow in the fish tank also signifies the stagnation of money in your life and creates more worry in the long term. It is definitely a vicious cycle leading to nowhere.

Do not put too many leafy plants in the bedroom
If possible; do not put any leafy plants in the bedroom. Leafy plants in feng shui perspective create a negative and sinister energy in the bedroom. In a more scientific point of view, leafy plants also steal your oxygen when you sleep at night. If you really love to have a plant in the bedroom, choose one which is suitable for the size of your bedroom. A big bedroom can have a single tall leafy plant place in a corner while a smaller bedroom suits a smaller plant that can be placed at the window stilt or the dressing table. Another choice is to place an indoor plant such as a snake plant, in the master bedroom toilet.
