Kid Ran Onto Busy Bukit Batok Road & Do 5 Push-Ups For a Video

We all know that when you’re young, you’re dumb. Okay, that’s going to offend a lot of people, let me rephrase that.

When you’re young, you don’t know what’s really important in life.

Like…you know…life?

But apparently, there are some people who didn’t get the memo.

Like this guy.

S’pore Youth Do Push-Ups in The Middle Of The Road

Since you’re the age of two and a half, your mother and father would’ve been telling you not to play on the roads.

Not this boy, though. Because he’s “beyond savage”.

A video has been circulating online, showing a Singaporean youth, presumedly Malay, running onto the road.

And it’s not exactly a quiet road. In fact, a car passed by before he ran onto the road.

While his friends were laughing in the background, he ran into the middle lane and knocked it down.

After 5 push-ups, he dashed his way back to safety.

The incident allegedly happened at Bukit Batok, according to Shin Min Daily News.

(So, no, it’s not that Bukit Batok Road that people who took their lessons and TP test in BBDC)

You can see the video below:

Netizens Definitely Not Impressed

Now, if this video was to be posted in a group of friends, you’ll be beyond savage. You might even get “badass points”. Although badasses don’t really have a happy ending. Just look at the Ferrari driver.

But when this video gets onto the internet, it’s a whole different story.

Some felt that his friends are not true friends.

While others are worried about him.

And then, there’re the sympathetic few who worries for the poor drivers on the road.

You know what’s even scarier? Bukit Batok is a small region (we know that because I’m typing this right in Bukit Batok), and there are many learner cars plying around. I’m pretty sure unlicensed drivers would be beyond shook to see a boy doing push-ups right in front of his car (he might be thinking: jam brake, or engine brake?).

But hey, at least they got something right.

It’s not beyond savage. It’s beyond stupid.

Moral of the story? Don’t always do what your friends tell you to do. And of course, risking your life to impress your friends?

Not worth it.

After all, the last thing you might see is the front of a car rushing into your face and the horrified screams of your friends.

And on the topic of doing questionable things, this incident comes just two months after another guy decides to do standing broad jumps. On the roof of an HDB walkway.

Guy Does SBJ Shirtless & High Above The Ground

When you do standing broad jumps (SBJ), the only thing you’re worried about is if you’ll not meet the passing distance.

Not for this guy, though, who decided that his SBJ need to be a little bit more challenging.

And so, he decided to migrate to the roof of the HDB walkway instead.

Uploaded on the Fabrications About The PAP Facebook Page, the video shows a man jumping (pretty well) across huge gaps high above the ground. He must still live in 2010 since SBJ is no longer a station for IPPT.

While some netizens are impressed with his athletism and suggested sending him out for Olympics, there are others who questioned his choices.

But, of course, at least to me, this guy isn’t as bad as the kid who did push up on the roads.

He looks like he’s practising parkour, and while it doesn’t mean that he should jump on walkway roof beams, at least from his actions, it seems like he’s practised a bit before trying this out.

After all, I’ve known people who tried parkour without doing ground training. All they ended up with was a sprained ankle and a promise never to touch Parkour again.

But that’s just me. What do you think?
