This Latest Internet Hunk Is Going Viral…For The Wrong Reason

Move over, Chuando Tan. You’re so August 2017.

There’s a new hunk in town, and he’s the epitome of the 3 Bs: buff, badass and bald.

Did I mention that he’s a monk too?

Not you, Krillin.

It’s this guy.

DAMN, Bufflord81.

Anyway, this monk’s photos were published on Facebook on September 19, and the post has collected 14K likes and reactions, as well as over 3.5K shares.

The Monk IDENTITY

According to Coconuts Bangkok, the monk’s identity is unknown. Too bad for you stalkers.

However, what we do know is that the monk had shared the pictures himself, no not to show off those bulging pecs, but supposedly to “bring awareness to monks’ health”.

He apparently wished for Thai monks to exercise in order to stay healthy and strong and for those responsible for the provision of alms to cease all sweet, fattening and salty food distributions.

Reason? Apart from being obviously unhealthy, these types of food also make monks sick and could cause diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia (metabolic disorder), and kidney disease.

We appreciate your efforts, Bufflord81.

But there’s no way we can stop eating sweet and fattening food.

It’s in our genes: we live to eat.

Netizens are divided… again

The post went viral not only because of the monk’s hot meat, but also because there were doubters that questioned the moral code of his right bicep ‘Arnold’.

While of course there were the usual ‘Oh he’s so buff’, ‘Niceeeeee’ and ‘I love his pecs’ comments (if you weren’t aware, netizens are a thirsty bunch), there were also less than complimentary reactions.

According to the nay-sayers, weightlifting (or to be more exact, getting buff) is a vain act.

And as a monk, that’s a huge no-no, because monks are supposed to be holier than holy water and balder than the skin of a banana.

Point taken, but are you really going to scrutinize so much over this little aspect when there are monks out there living the high life?

Thankfully, Bufflord81 isn’t exactly breaking the holy monk code, as he might have been a weightlifter who just ordained for a few days like many Thai men do at some point in their lives.

According to Coconut Bangkok, there were speculations that he had donned the robes for a short period of time, before leaving to open a restaurant.

Well, that complicates things. If there’s anything hotter than a hot monk it’s a hot chef. Because he’s feeling the heat from all that fire under the wok. Geddit? #Buffchef81

Anyway, if it’s true about the restaurant… I’m betting 100 bucks that its entire menu is something like this.

  • Fried Chicken breast (Chef disapproves)                  –     390 calories

Alright, maybe not, but you never know.

Thoughts

It looks like a ticket to fame might not be as hard as the 2000s, huh?

Back then you had to strip during auditions to gain nationwide fame. #stevenlimkorkor

Nowadays you just have to have muscles. A defined jawline. And stand out from the crowd (be as controversial as you can be).

And boom, you’re on the front page of every social media site.

So guys, you know the drill. Go to the gym, eat, sleep, rinse and repeat.

Then do something unique like being a toilet cleaner and newsflash: Hot toilet cleaner spotted at female’s toilet in Orchard.

On a serious note, this speaks volumes about the future though.

I wonder how it would be like.

Oh by the way, BuffLord81 isn’t his Instagram handle or anything like that. I just came up with it but you got to admit, it fits.
