2018 has just begun, and we can’t wait for all the new hotels, along with the restaurants and bars that come with it, to open in Singapore. For tourists or for curious urbanites who want to experience a new place in the city, here are the new cool hotels that are opening this year in our city!
1. The Duxton Club
The Duxton Club is said to open mid this year. The hotel owners of Duxton Club are Harpeet Bedi and Satinder Garcha, also owners of great The Vagabond Club, down at Syed Alwi Road.
The hotel will be split into The Duxton House and The Duxton Terrace, which will be opened in different parts of the year. The Duxton House which consists of 8 3-storey buildings with 50 rooms is expected to open earlier on in the year. The Duxton Terrace however with 138 rooms across 14 buildings will be opened after mid-year in July 2018. With this new venue, come fresh new establishments. Tourists and locals can expect five restaurants and bars to be located on the hotel grounds and also a swimming pool for the hotter days.
2. The Patina, Capitol Singapore
The Patina’s opening has been delayed throughout 2016 and 2017 so we can’t wait for it to be opened in 2018! The hotel is owned by Perennial Real Estate Holdings and Chesham Properties, both holding 50% of the hotel ownership.
The Patina hotel, well located on Stamford Road is housed by two historic buildings that have been restored. The premises are said to have Singapore’s first saltwater relaxation pool as one of its main attractions. We can’t wait to try it!
3. Capri by Fraser
Capri by Fraser will be opening in 2018, in a close proximity to the Central Business District in China Square Central. This property is a 16-storey high hotel expected to help boom the retail and entertainment scene in the China Square Central area.
The hotel will feature very minimalist decorations with colourful accents, along with terraces in some rooms and hammock beds. Customers can look forward to amenities like an outdoor pool, a spa, and a sauna for a relaxed stay in Singapore.
