The testing will be carried out on five consecutive Sundays, starting from this week on 29 Apr 2018 and will end on 27 May 2018.

The trials will not affect operating hours of the stations affected.

However, be prepared for “instances of train and platform doors not opening or closing promptly, trains being held at stations longer than usual, or trains stopping momentarily between stations” during the tests.

If successful, they are looking at conducting daily testing of the new signalling system during the school holidays in late May 2018.

On Dec 2015, he chatted up a 12-year-old girl on Instagram who had just completed her PSLE exams.

He asked her to be his girlfriend, to which she agreed.

They met up and he made her perform a sex act on him. When she wanted to break up with him, he threatened to post their WhatsApp chat and her photos online.

She had no choice to do what he wants thereafter.

That same month, he chatted up another 12-year-old girl and got her nude photos. They met up for sexual encounters over the next three months.

He was exposed after a teacher knew that he was harassing her students and lodged a police report against him.

Traces of asbestos were discovered from samples taken from these areas.

Asbestos is a material that was used frequently in construction materials back in the past. However, it was banned in Singapore due to associated health risks back in 1989.

If exposed to asbestos for a long period of time, your lungs can get scarred, leading to breathlessness.

Asbestos can also cause lung cancer and mesothelioma, which is cancer of the lining of the lungs and the heart.

But if you’ve visited St John a couple of times in the past, don’t worry.

Senior consultant of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital, Professor Loo Chian Min said that the risks are minimal for casual visitors.

M’sian Lorry Drivers Left M’sia Without Showing Passport Cuz Immigrations Booths Were Unmanned

What is it called if you leave a country without showing your passport?

That’s called illegal immigration and it’s a chargeable offence.

But Malaysian lorry drivers are doing just that.

Image: straitstimes.com

And their reason for doing so? There were no immigration officers present at the booths to process their passports.

Some of them were rushing for delivery and couldn’t wait anymore so they just left the country without scanning their passports.

Drivers have complained that at times, they had to alight and look for immigration officers when the booths are empty.

A driver who allegedly took a video of the empty immigration booths and shared it online was arrested by immigration officers.

A spokesperson for Malaysia Immigration said that they are carrying out internal investigations.

They’ll impose harsh disciplinary actions against officers who were not at their position when they were supposed to.

However, he further stressed that no matter what, lorry drivers must scan their passport before leaving the country or harsh punishment will be imposed.
