Fellow brothers who hit their face on the way out of their mother’s womb, we got hope liao!
A study by an undergraduate at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canadahas, has shown that it’s the funny guys who get the girls.
It’s revealed in the study that people with more sense of humour were deemed to be more attractive than those with less.
“Humor is influential,” said lead study author Daniel Doerksen.
Apparently, humour contributes to a person’s attractiveness.
What The Study Says
A total of 50 male college students and 50 female college students participated in the speed-dating event for the study. The researchers then rated the photos of the people involved and averaged the results.
The researchers had no interactions with the individuals, hence they could not pass any judgements about their personalities or senses of humour.
The students then went on 5 to 10 dates each with the other students. The students were then made to answer a couple of questions about their date.
The researchers’ ratings and students’ ratings were then compared. The more humorous people were found to be more attractive with higher ratings.
Could this be true?
Well, look around you and you’ll know.
