SCDF FB Post About Black Panther Wins the Internet. Again.

SCDF has once again outdone themselves. You guys do remember the video about a guy having diarrhoea and calling 995 for help, right?

Well, to help refresh your memories, here’s the video posted by SCDF in December last year.

#995ForEmergenciesOnly

Are you having a stomachache? Need to go to the toilet urgently? You could be having a case of diarrhoea. But don't worry that's not an emergency. #995ForEmergenciesOnly

In the video, a man was having a diarrhoea and called SCDF, claiming that it was an emergency.

…In other words, hilarity ensued.

If anything, it was definitely funny and a breath of fresh air—considering this actually came from SCDF. Normally, our mental image of SCDF is that of stern-looking professionals, and rightfully so.

This video perhaps serves as a reminder that our SCDF personnel are fellow Singaporeans just like us.

Anyway, in a Facebook post by SCDF on 24 Feb, we were once again reminded of the awesomeness of SCDF.

Here’s the post in question, so that you wouldn’t have to dig through your Facebook for it.

We are neither Black Panther nor Pink Panther but like them, we are lifesavers too. #BlackPanther #Marvel #ANationofLifesavers

I had to squint my eyes just to make sure that I am wasn’t seeing things.

Did…Did SCDF just did a parody(sort of) poster of Black Panther? And wow is it well made! And the best part is probably the captions for the post:

“We are neither Black Panther nor Pink Panther but like them, we are lifesavers too.”

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

This is too good. I was giggling like an idiot for close to a minute because of the poster.

Oh and, the “title” of the “movie”. We gotta talk about this too.

(Oh wow)

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s eventually a hero named “Red Rhino”. Singapore needs more superheroes, you know.

To be honest, the only Singaporean hero I know of, (aside from VR man) is Jenny Quantum.

I…I don’t think I need to tell you which one of them is Jenny Quantum, right?

Anyway, while it would be nice for us to have more superheroes, do you know what’s actually better?

The fact that “Red Rhino” is non-fictional. We can really count on the people behind the wheels of the Red Rhino in times of need!

Salute!
