Soon, NTU will have its own MRT Station

Good news NTU students! You might just have a new MRT station in NTU soon.

Do you always feel frustrated when you have to contend with the crowd at Pioneer or Boon Lay MRT stations? Do you always find it hard to get to school, especially during the exam periods when you just cannot afford to be late?

Well, if you think this way, you’d be happy to note that the Ministry of Transport has put into place plans to extend the three existing lines and two new MRT lines – the Cross Island and Jurong Region Line. These two new lines will prove extremely beneficial to those who are travelling towards the west, namely NTU students.

These new lines could also allow you to skip the dreaded Jurong East interchange.

So what’s the catch? Well, the Jurong Region Line will be ready in 2025 while the Cross Island Line is set to be ready by 2030.

So this means that if you are a present student, you’d most likely not get to enjoy the new MRT lines. If you are, however planning to send your kids to NTU, then well, this is great news for you indeed!
