When it comes to these bike-sharing bicycles, we have seen all kinds of abuses inflicted on these poor bikes. They have been spray-painted, stolen, sold online – even on Taobao and now, there’s even a ‘graveyard’ dedicated to these bicycles.
Don’t believe us? Well, here you go!
According to an article on STOMP, a Stomper Satur came across this ‘graveyard’ of oBikes and Mobikes on a grass patch near Pasir Ris MRT Station just on 5 June 2017.
In the video that he took, these bicycles were piled on top of one another as though it was a pile of trash waiting to be incinerated.
This is really a tragedy.
I mean, even after implementing GPS systems and charges to renting these bicycles, there are still dim-witted souls out that who can’t seem to understand what it means to be responsible citizens or even bicycle renters.
Just because you have free access to these bicycles, it doesn’t mean that you can treat them however you deem fit – even after paying for your ride. These bicycle-sharing initiatives were started for a reason, and definitely not for people to have a new play-thing on the road.
Seriously, they might even have to install secret pin cameras in these bicycles from now on to track down the idiots that treat these bicycles like trash. #justsaying.
And to think there’s an e-scooter sharing service in Singapore as well.
