Grocery shopping can be a hassle for busy working adults. We are pressed for time every day from the moment we wake up to the moment we sleep. Any extra time spent in the supermarket and the subsequent travelling time with large and heavy plastic bags put us off.

However, we got some really nice, creative people who have taken time and efforts to put together online grocery stores where we can shop with a click of our mouse. Here are the top 5 online stores according to us!

Redmart (Click here)
Redmart is an online grocery stores that sells about anything. You have the usual selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood. Redmart also carries household items such as detergents, shampoo, shower foam and even gardening items. Whatever you want, you can find it here.

The best selection according to us is the alcohol section. Here, you can find beers that are not sold anywhere else, and even selected wine, vodka, gin, martini and whisky. They partner with certain vendors to give customers the widest selection possible.

Delivery cost: Free with minimum $50 purchase. Otherwise, it is calculated based on the amount you order and the requested delivery time.
Delivery period: The shortest will be 2 hours after orders are placed. You can choose your delivery date and time at your convenience.

Giant Online Store (Click here)
Giant Online is pretty much the same as Redmart. You have access to all of Giant’s inventory through the click of a mouse. The varieties you find here are almost the same as the physical store. You can even find electrical products in the online store, just the same as the physical stores. Giant also boast of a wide variety of halal products. This is something that Redmart does not have.

Delivery cost: Flat rate of $12 if your orders is below $60 while $7 is charged if your orders exceed $60.
Delivery period: Orders received before 11am will be delivered on the same day at 2 time slots: 3pm to 6pm or 6pm to 9pm. Order received after 11am will be delivered the next day.

Cold Storage Online Store (Click here)
Cold Storage Online works with the same business model as Giant. With the click of a mouse, you have access to the whole inventory of Cold Storage. You can shop for whatever you want and they will deliver it to you. The one thing that I really like about Cold Storage is their imported varieties of food. The selection is wide and you can go wide with joy if you love food from all over Europe.

Delivery cost: Flat rate of $12 if you orders is below $60 while $7 is charged if your orders exceed $60.
Delivery period: Orders received before 5pm will be delivered the next working day while order received after 5pm will be delivered 2 days later.
PurelyFresh (Click here)
This is yet another online store which provide fresh food. It stocks fresh meat, vegetables and seafood. One interesting thing about PurelyFresh is the flexibility for you to customise your order. If you want your chicken skinned, your fish sliced and your meat minced, they will do it all for you–at a cost of course.

Delivery cost: Minimum order is at $49 of which $6 will be charged for delivery. Orders above $75 will get free delivery.
Delivery period: Order received before 1 am (in the morning) will have the earliest time slot for same day delivery. Orders received before 12 midnight will have the earliest time slot for next day delivery. A little confusing but you can choose your time slot so that kind of solve the problem.

Honest Bee (Click here)
Honest Bee works on a totally different model and actually allows you to have more flexibility in your shopping experience. They partner with many stores, not only supermarkets, and they allow you to order anything on their stores with the same prices. This gives you absolute flexibility to include grocery, hardware and even pet items in the same order! All you need to do is enter your postal code, confirm the stores that are available for delivery and order what you need from these stores.

Delivery cost: Orders above $30 gets free delivery while a flat rate of $10 applies for orders below that.
Delivery period: One hour after you place your order. You can choose the time slot to suit your convenience.
