The Undertaker from WWE is Retiring. Here’s What You Should Know

I know what you’re thinking. I thought he retired a long time ago? And I don’t blame you for thinking that because he has been around since the WWF era in 1990.

No, not the World Wildlife Fund, it’s the World Wrestling Federation. That’s what World Wrestling Entertainment was before they had to change the name because kids were having too much fun emulating them.

But honestly, changing the word from Federation to Entertainment didn’t really change a thing. Kids were still doing stone cold stunners on each other during recess time.

Okay, back to the topic, the Undertaker is going to retiring from WWE. And in my humble opinion? It’s about time.

Allegedly, what prompted his retirement was his loss to Roman Reigns in the main event at Wrestling Mania 33 to Roman Reigns.

Born in 1965, Mark Calaway debuted in WWF in 1990 and has been in the organisation for 27 years.

At 52 years old and a damaged hip, one of the biggest reason behind his retirement was also because he couldn’t keep up in the ring anymore. His opponents were usually young men who are usually a decade or two younger.

His retirement was confirmed by WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon on Friday following his defeat at Wrestling Mania 33. The Undertaker left his iconic gloves, hat and long coat in the ring.

As well as Triple H, now an Executive Vice President at WWE‘s Talent, Live Event & Creative.

All I can say is, Triple H got it right. No more watching his amazing grave digging shots while threatening opponents, no more watching him take off his singlet from the top, no more seeing him tombstone piledrive people into the ground.

This, as we know it, is the end of a legend. The end of an unrivalled record of 23 wins and 2 losses at Wrestlemania. #GoodbyeUndertaker #YouWillBeMissed #YoureTheReasonWhyIGym
