The Weatherman Just Said That It’s Going to be Rainy & Hot During CNY 2018

Gone were the cold, freezing days, when Singapore experienced what was arguably its first winter season in ages.

The weather’s now back to its warm front (yayyyy….), and if the Meteorological Service of Singapore’s to be believed, it’s gonna get even warmer.

Makes you question the legitimacy of those who complained about the cold back then, huh?

Rainy & Hot

According to our dear, old Meteorological Service on Wednesday (14 Feb), more rain is expected in the next two weeks even as temperatures increase.

(What kind of hellish combo is that?!)

For the Chinese New Year holiday weekend, the weather is predicted to be warm with thundery showers in the afternoon, and the daily temperature is expected to fluctuate between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius.

More rain will be expected in the second half of February, as compared to the first, the Met Service said. Short thundery showers are predicted in the afternoon on six to eight days.

“On a few of these days, the thundery showers may extend into the evening,” it said.

On the other hand, it’s also gonna get warmer.

The Met Service has forecast the daily maximum temperature to hit a high of 34 degrees Celsius on several days. On most occasions, the daily maximum temperature is forecast to be approximately 32 or 33 degrees Celsius.

Daily minimum temperature, however, is expected to range between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius (oh well, it’s not that bad!)

Prep your MCs

I might be no fortune teller, but I can foresee a sickness epidemic sweeping the country.

CNY goodies coupled with the rainy & hot weather?

Geez, talk about overkill.
