Zara is Now Having a Sale; Perfect for CNY Clothes

Whoever says that we can only buy CNY clothes when CNY is around the corner?

No, right? As long as it’s unworn, it’s new clothes.

But of course, I’m not here to talk about cultures, because I’m such an uncultured fellow. I’m here because Zara is having a sale right now, and for some inexplicable reason, I’ve always associated Zara with CNY clothes (maybe because Zara sounds like Chinese New Year…no?).

Zara, the brand that everyone is talking about all of a sudden due to the First Lady’s controversial choice of wearing a “I really don’t care, do u?” jacket while on her way to an child detention centre, is now having a sale, both online and offline.

Well, I tried finding this jacket but it’s not available.

Not that I care, though.

But fret now; there seems to be some pretty good items on sale. Like this jacket for the ladies, originally at $89.90 but now selling at $59.90…

…and this T-shirt for the guy, originally at $39.90 but going at $25.90 now.

There’s no mention of when the sale would end, so make your way there ASAP.

And if you happen to see the “I really don’t care, do u?” jacket, do inform us. Pretty sure there are readers out there looking for it.

Outlets

If you’re like me who still think that there are only one or two outlets in Singapore, this is going to shock you.

Currently, there are nine outlets scattered all over Singapore.

Erm, actually no. They’re scattered all over high-SES areas. Here’s a list:

  • Liat Towers
  • 313@Somerset
  • ION Orchard
  • Ngee Ann City
  • Great World City
  • Vivo City
  • Marina Square
  • MBS
  • Changi Airport

So if you live in Jurong, you might as well buy it online #justsaying

Zara’s Founder Was the Richest Man in the World for a While

This might be a little irrelevant, but it’s good to know since you could be contributing to this piece of news.

Just last August, the founder of Zara Amancio Ortega temporarily became the richest man in the world, at a net worth of USD$85 billion, taking over Bill Gates. That didn’t last long, though: two days later, Bill Gates bounced back.

Quite interesting, considering the fact that we all have used a Microsoft product before but not everyone has worn a Zara clothing.

But anyways, the tycoon totally deserves it. Despite his high net worth, the frugal billionaire has allegedly worked for 25 years without a vacation. And to the best of our knowledge, he didn’t even take the effort to Photoshop himself into vacation spots.

All of a sudden, I’ve become a Zara fan.
