There is no mercy when it comes to food. Especially when it’s half past twelve midnight and your stomach is growling so loudly you can barely sleep, and Maggie mee just isn’t an option.

That’s when you realise where your priority lies. Sleep is for the weak! When transportation has become a tap of your phone, these 24 hours kopitiams have become a favourite among many. Here’s our list (do note that it’s, of course, subjective. And we do not include prata places, because that’s for another day).

1. Wan Shun Foodcourt (888 Plaza)

Located at the junction of Joo Chiat Road and Duku Road, this coffee shop is pretty close to the Joo Chiat Community Centre. Their banana honey Prata is recommended, with sweet nectar and semi-caramelized bananas going together with crisp Prata. You’ll either love it or hate it!

An approximately 10 – 15 minute’s walk away from Serangoon MRT Station, their Roti John is a must-try dish. Packed with a good serving of eggs, onions and mutton (or chicken), their servings are pretty generous. Even their bread is soft and light, giving it a unique taste of its own.

Here’s another noodle stall for you. Their wide variety of noodles is well received by customers, especially their Bak Chor Mee (again!) Diners love the noodles for its soft and springy texture, as well as the sauce which contains the ideal mix of chilli and vinegar. Try it once and you’ll know it!

6. Mr Teh Tarik

Given that Mr Teh Tarik has several stalls scattered across Singapore, it adds on to the convenience of finding a 24/7 coffee shop. What’s recommended there is promptly their noodle dishes such as Wanton Mee, and Ban Mian. As their coffee shop name suggests, you just have to try their Teh Tarik!

This one in the west is a favourite among one of our writers, simply because it’s near his house, but hey: every one has their favourite, eh?
