If it’s only a few more days before your monthly paycheck comes in or if you’ve splurged on a big-ticket item recently, you might be having cai png (or cai fan) at least once a day. Even though prices are constantly going up, cai png is one of the cheapest options in a foodcourt or hawker centre. Here are some stalls that will make your money’s worth.

Xing Long Cooked Food
Located at Marine Parade’s Central Market and Food Centre, Xing Long Cooked Food is one of the few cai png stalls in an area that’s filling up with restaurants and cafes. Do note that the stall is closed on certain days and come early or be prepared to queue due to its popularity.
Address: #01-185, 84 Marine Parade Central Market and Food Centre, Blk 84 Marine Parade Central, 440084

Chang Cheng
Your eyes are not deceiving you, there is actually a cai png stall chain in Singapore. Although you may be sceptical at the thought of a cai png stall chain, it only means that the food they churn out is consistent and so are the prices. Heck, there may even be two Chang Cheng stalls within walking distance from your home.
Address: It’s a chain with many stalls. MANY.

Cai png in Kim San Leng at Bishan
If you’re feeling extra peckish, this cai png stall located in Bishan has you covered. Think generous portions for a sum that will probably only get you a few measly pieces of pork and wilted vegetables. With the wide variety of dishes displayed, you’ll probably end up hemming and hawing as you decide what to order.
Address: 511 Bishan Street 13 Singapore 570511

Susan Chan Food
Have a shopping spree planned in Orchard Road? Not willing to spend that much on lunch? Far East Plaza has Susan Chan Food on the fifth floor to solve that problem for you. Do go early for lunch though, everything’s usually sold out by 2pm and to make things worse, queues are long.
Address: Far East Plaza, Singapore 228213

Xin Hup Soon Curry Fish Head
Fret not east siders, there is good cai png to be had in the area too. Located at Ubi Avenue 2, this cai png stall has a focus on seafood dishes and with no surprise, given the stall’s name. Although the seafood and fish dishes are pricey, and with good reason, do expect fast service and generous helpings to make up for that.
Address: Stall 5, JTC Flatted Factory, 3014B Ubi Road 1, 408722
