Pretty long ago (ten years is an eternity, no?), the long holiday during CNY means we have to watch reruns of movies on Channel 5 or Channel 8, because that’s the only source of entertainment.

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like every year, the same few movies seem to be rerun every CNY, going hand-in-hand with those loud CNY songs and the countdown in Chinatown. And these movies have almost represented CNY to some extent. Does CNY come to you when you see these videos?

A Chinese Odyssey

Who could have forgotten this? No one. Absolutely no one. And this scene—this could well be the best scene in the history of humanity. No kidding.

Any Jackie Chan movie

With so many to choose from, Channel 8 won’t run out of movies until, maybe, 2055. And with it being dubbed in so many languages, it can be shown in Channel 8, Channel 5 and Suria.
