5 must-knows about the FREE Hot Air Balloon for SEA Games

That’s right you have not mistaken, Singaporeans are entitled to a FREE Hot Air Balloon ride at the upcoming 28^th SEA Games Carnival!!

Now you can have your own UP adventure in the hometown – it’s a dream come true!

Before heading over to fulfil your dream, we recommend that you read (and share) this article!

1. Date/Time/Venue
Date: 31 May – 16 June, with the Hot Air Balloon available from 3 June onwards!
Time: 10am – 9pm
Venue: Singapore Sports Hub (Stadium MRT)

2. How to redeem your FREE Hot Air Balloon Ride
Well, you can choose to go queue up early in the morning just to take this scenic ride, but take note of the afternoon session as well!
Visit theUnionPay booth at SEA Games Carnival for same day registration. Registration for the morning slots (8am-10am) starts at 7am while registration for the evening slots (5pm-8pm) starts at 4pm. Slots are very limited and it’s a first come first serve basis!

3. Check your height before going down to queue
According to the T&Cs, only people above the age of 18 and above the height of 140cm are eligible for the ride.
So make sure before you bring your little kids over to queue at some unholy 7am, check if they fit the requirements!!

4. What to expect?
Well since it’s a free ride by UnionPay, you cannot expect them to allow you up there in the air for more than 5 minutes. Each ride can only accommodate a maximum of 3 passengers and 1 pilot so do plan your groups properly before heading over! You won’t want to expect your dad/mom/sister to take alone the next ride – it’s not going to be magical that way.
For ladies, it is best to avoid wearing your dresses or even wedding gowns on to the ride, because they will require you to climb in and out of the basket. So, you have be warned to make a choice between staying pretty and staying glam!

5. How to cut queue?
Go with someone with a UnionPay card because cardholders get to enjoy the priority to experience the Hot Air Balloon! Follow their Facebook page for more information!
