From spirits to sake to wine to beer, it is a great place for friends who prefer different types of alcohol. They also serve food at a very affordable $5.95, which are mainly burgers. This is definitely the perfect place to chill after a long day at work.

Housepours at $5.50, bottled beers for $12 a pair and $9.90 for a pint of popular beer such as Heineken and Erdinger. This stylish bar in the restored Emerald Hill shophouse also provides a relaxing ambience with a playlist of acid jazz and funk.

Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro
With a widely extensive wine and food selection, coupled with a soothing environment, Wine Connection like the Wine Connection Telok Ayer outlet has always been the preferred place for a night of casual hangouts and get-togethers. On average, a bottle of wine can go from $30 to $50 easily but with a group sharing a bottle then things get even more affordable.

The Cider Pit
Located along JooChiat Road, this bar serves a selection of around 50 beers from the simple to the special with a couple of local craft beers included. Prices start at $5 for half pints ($10 for pints) of beer and cider on tap. What a deal.

Standing Sushi Bar
Besides their $5 salmon sashimi promotion on Mondays, the Standing Sushi Bar also have $2 sake and $5 beer, wine, hot sake and umeshu promotion on weekdays (Mon-Thur). One downside is that without reservation, you won’t be able to enter the restaurant without queueing for at least one hour.

Cuscaden Patio & Chips Pub
This no-frills underground drinking den has no happy hour but they have really cheap beer round the clock! Pay only $18 for a 1.5 litre jug of beer, $30 for 6 bottles of San Miguel Light and Stella Artois or $12 for 2 bottles of Hoegardens!! They also have chicken wings to go with your drinks and a pool table for you to play at! Definitely the most heartlander bar with a very local and homely vibe.
