Contrary to popular beliefs, guys are similar to girls, at least in the aspect of not letting you know what they really think. Do you have a crush on someone, and get a niggling feeling in your gut that says he reciprocates your feelings?

If you do, here are 8 things you can look out for to confirm your suspicions. Of course, the 8 signs listed in this article is meant to be taken as guidelines, and not rules set in stone.

His toes points towards you
At the basis of all human interactions is the ‘fight or flight’ response, and is pretty much controlled by his subconscious mind. If his toes are pointed at you, chances are he’s interested in you, but this also largely depends on the context: try this, touch his arm casually and see where his toes points to, if it’s towards you, chances are he’s into you.

He looks at your face
It used to be if he stares at your eyes, but this comes along as a little creepy, and no sane guys does this nowadays, instead if he spends about 80% of his time looking at your face, jumping from your mouth to your nose to your eyes intermittently, he’s definitely interested. If he’s looking at some other body parts, he’s just lusting after you.

He puts you first
If he’s into you, he will go out of his way to keep you happy in any given situation; when the colleagues goes out for lunch together, you’re the only one in the entire group who wants to eat at an air-conditioned place while the rest wanted to eat at the hawker center, he’d offer to keep you company and blow off the rest of the group, or somehow convince the group to go along with your choice.

He’s pays more attention to you
He can’t help but pay more attention to you, your needs and your feelings. If you’re feeling down, he’d be the first to notice and attempt to cheer you up, and if you’re in a celebratory mood, he’d be the first to ask what good things happened to you.

If you’re dressed up for a girls’ night out at the Zouk, he’d ask if you’re going out on a date, often with a bit of jealousy in his voice.

He does his best to make you comfortable
Similar to the above point, he pays attention to you, and you’d notice that he goes out of his way to make you comfortable. You’d realize that he starts bring tissue packs out when he knows you’d need them after lunch, especially if he used to not bring any and expect others to have them; or any other similar situations.

He leans towards you
Depending on the situation, this might be a subconscious form of affection, or just the entire situation. If both of you are in someplace noisy, and he leans towards you, it might simply mean he couldn’t hear you clearly, but if it’s some place quiet and yet he’s still leaning towards you, he’s interested in you.

He smiles for no particular reason
If he’s smiling a lot at you, even if you didn’t say anything particularly funny, he could just be interested in you. The trick is to check if he’s still smiling after some time, because fake smiles tends to fade fast, while true smiles lasts longer.

Mirroring
Or some would say automatic rapport establishment. If he barely knows you and yet mirror your gestures, chances are he really likes you. After all, we all mirror the person that we like subconsciously, and so if you realize that he’s mirroring your gestures, chances are he’s into you.
