With 2019 just around the corner, it’s about time you came up with your new year’s resolution. If one of your 2019 resolutions goes along the lines of completing a marathon or leading a healthier lifestyle, then this blog post is perfect for you.

1) Garang Warrior Ultra 2019

Start/Finish venue: MacRitchie Reservoir
Registration fee: Solo Garang- $85, Duo Garang- $160 (Check website for early bird rates)

Test your “Garang” level by completing loops between 4km to 100km and beyond.

The titles of “Most Garang Warrior Male and Female Champion” are also up of grabs based on the most number of laps completed in the fastest time.

2) Run for Hope

Start/Finish venue: Singapore Sports Hub
Registration fee: 3.5km/10km- $57 (Groups and participants of previous editions are entitled to special rates)

Jointly organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), the annual Run for Hope strives to raise awareness and support for cancer research.

Fun fact: $5 from each registration will be donated to NCCS Research Fund’s cancer research programme.

3) Safari Zoo Run

Aimed to empower runners to support wildlife conservation, the event encourages participants to run alongside the different park icons who champions a conservation cause. Ah Meng the Orangutan and Chawang the Elephant (Forests), Canola the Manatee (Clean water), Sunny the Hornbill (Clean air).

4) Singapore Cancer Society- TalkMed Relay For Life

Start/Finish venue: Singapore Sports Hub
Registration fee: Individual- $30, Team (≥10 Pax)- $30, Students (Age ≤23)- $25 (Check website for early bird rates)

This 15-hour overnight event aims to remember the people who lost the battle against cancer, inspire participants to fight back, and recognise the caregivers who give time, love, and support to their friends, family, neighbours, and co-workers facing cancer.

The fight for cancer never sleeps until a cure is found.

5) 2XU Compression Run Singapore

Flag-off time: 21.1km- 4.30am, 10km- 6.30am, 5km- 8am
Start/Finish venue: F1 Pit Building
Registration fee: 5km- $52, 10km- $60, 21.1km- $70 (Participants of previous editions are entitled to special rates)

6) 50 Hours Non-stop Run

Date: 19 – 21 April 2019
Flag-off time: 9 am
Start/Finish venue: Bedok Reservoir Park
Registration fee: Up to 43km- $24, Up to 64.5km- $34, Up to 86km- $39

This non-competitive event challenges runners by completing laps of between 43km to 86km at their own pace and time during a 50 hour duration.

Maximum effort equals maximum rewards.

7) OSIM Sundown Marathon Singapore
