My secondary school’s uniform was an obnoxious green colour, similar to the garbage bins you see in Singapore.

We were aware that other schools would jokingly call us ‘rubbish bins’.

But it was all just a joke. It was just light banter and none of us took it seriously.

Unfortunately, a Chinese teacher in China didn’t get the memo:

Has anyone ever opened up a garbage bin and said, “hey that looks delicious I want to eat it”?

If you have, I’m genuinely worried for you.

According to China Press, a couple of primary school students in China were reportedly sent to the hospital after they experienced abdominal pain.

Now if this happened in Singapore, the first question we’d ask is if it was the lunch they ate in the school canteen. This, however, was not the reason for the abdominal pain in these Chinese students. Unless you consider the trash they were forced to eat as ‘lunch’. These poor students were allegedly forced to eat garbage because they didn’t clear out the rubbish bins in their classrooms.
