MediaCorp changed its logo, but there’s something even more important you must know

Anyone who lives in Singapore would know that the media industry is more or less just about two companies: MediaCorp and SPH. A long, long time ago, if you’re old enough, you’ll have seen the growth of MediaCorp and its rebranding: from the super-retro RTS (Radio and Television Singapore) to SBC (Singapore Broadcasting Corporation) to TCS (Television Corporation of Singapore) and then finally to MediaCorp. Obviously “broadcasting” and “television” have become words of yesterday.

And just a trip down memory lane (for the young generation, a history lesson), here’re the logos:

So, yesterday (8 December 2015), a new logo is revealed. Here’s the logo that you’ll see often from now on:

But what’s even more important is that for the last 63 years, MediaCorp has been housed in Caldecott Hill, with Ah Jie like Zoe Tay being conferred with the title of Queen of Caldecott Hill. Now, they have shifted their premises to [email protected] Buona Vista, with the official opening yesterday.

So, now, how? Zoe Tay is now the Queen of Buona Vista? It just doesn’t sound “atas” enough, eh?

The Goody Feed Team comprises either several in-house writers or an individual in-house writer who prefers to stay anonymous. The reason to stay anonymous is simple: a writer won’t want his girlfriend to read an article like “10 things boyfriends hate about their girlfriends”, right?
