A roller coaster ride served way more than just thrilling entertainment for a group of English theme park visitors, when it smashed into a wayward deer, taking its head in the process and splashing deery intestines all over the not-too-amused visitors.

The visitors were on the Ultimate at Lightwater Valley, Europe’s longest rollercoaster, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, and it was then that the deceased deer had wandered onto the tracks. With a maximum speed of 50mph, the deer stood no real chance once the roller coaster struck home.

Fortunately, none of the visitors have sustained visible injuries, but their state of mind might be affected as a result of the incident. Have a look at how it all happened.
