In the wake of Avengers: Infinity War came the onslaught of spoilers for those who haven’t watched the movie yet. Moderators on Reddit declared the week off-limits for spoilers and there was a slew of posts like these on Facebook (at least, on my feed):
But now that we have had more than a few days to digest the magnitude that is Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, the third instalment in the Avengers series, and the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can safely discuss the spoilers and theories, right?
Because we don’t want people to unfriend and unlike us on Facebook (please stay friends with us), please turn back if you haven’t already watched Avengers: Infinity War. Seriously. Stop reading.
Go watch the movie and then come back and we can speculate all we want together, because it doesn’t seem like the spoilers and speculations are going to stop.

Here are some burning questions we had before Avengers: Infinity War, answered:
Where In The World Is Hawkeye AKA Clint Barton?
This was a huge question that bugged all of us before the movie’s release.
We know the movie cleverly skirted this issue by saying both Hawkeye and Ant-Man were placed on house arrest after the events of Captain America: Civil War, but come on. Hawkeye staying home to safeguard his family’s interest? That, I can believe.
But Ant-Man staying home and doing nothing?
If this new trailer of Ant-Man and the Wasp has anything to say about it, it’s a big fat no way:
Where Was Ant-Man?
From Ant-Man’s first movie and the trailer above, we can see that Scott Lang being superhero means a lot to Ant-Man’s daughter, Cassandra. She even kind of plants the idea of getting him a partner, if we’re to believe trailers. So why wasn’t he in Infinity War?
Was it the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp that prevented him from being in the movie? Was it that they were stuck in the sub-atomic realm?
Will Vision Die?
This one we all saw coming, didn’t we? It’s kind of tough that the character wouldn’t die, considering the mind stone was right smack in the middle of his forehead.
We thought Shuri, T’Challa’s genius of a sister would save him, and maybe she would have if things had gone as planned.
Will Iron Man Die?
Now that we know that Tony Stark isn’t dead, but stranded on Titan after seeing everyone but Nebula fade into dust… The question is more — How will he get back to Earth, and will he even go back to Earth, and what will happen to our beloved Playboy Billionaire Philanthropist after that?
How Is Natasha Romanov and Bruce Banner’s Relationship After The Hulk’s Space Adventure?
There was a line of niceties, and then we went straight to the action, so that’s a question that remains to be verbally answered.
Joe Russo did recently answer in a Q&A at a high school this about the Hulk and Black Widow’s relationship:
“Look he disappeared for two years- she’s pretty self-sufficient, he didn’t wait around for him- there’s a sort of unspoken truth that there’s need to be a spoken resolution.”
Where Is The Soul Stone?
We had some ideas as to where the soul stone was.
- Remember in Iron Man 2 when Howard Stark said Tony was his “greatest creation”? It may be a little far fetched but the soul stone was pictured with Iron Man in some promotional art for Infinity War (see above) so what if it’s in Iron Man himself?
- Or what if the soul stone is in Hemindal? Think about it, he has orange eyes, and there was that weird vision Thor had while shirtless in Avengers: Age of Ultron… where he didn’t have orange eyes anymore.
- It’s on Titan… Titan is orange.
All of them were, of course, horribly wrong. Tony didn’t even get close to the soul stone, Hemindal died a few minutes into the first act, and Titan may be orange, but that’s because (as Thanos said himself) it was basically ravaged by overpopulation and scarcity of resources.
Will Thanos Destroy The MCU With “A Snap Of His Fingers”?
The answer is yes. Yes he did. It was brutal, it spawned memes, we all cried when Spider-man said he didn’t want to go.
These Are The Burning Questions We Have For Avengers: Untitled AKA Avengers 4
What Is That Logo That Showed Up On Nick Fury’s Pager AKA Who’s Captain Marvel?
The strongest character ever to grace the MCU screens, according to Marvel Studio Head Kevin Feige, Captain Marvel is the first female MCU superhero to have her own film.
Kevin Feige told Vulture, “With Captain Marvel, there’s so much potential in the comics and there have been so many incarnations of her powers and the characters who’ve had that mantle that we’ve been focusing in on exactly how do we tell her origin. How does it fit into the cosmic side of our universe? How does it fit into what we’re doing with the next Avengers movies?”
Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Denvers, is played by Brie Larson. She has enhanced durability, strength, and speed. She can also fly, and travel through the Quantum Realm. What can’t she do, you ask?
We’ll have to wait for Captain Marvel to hit theatres in March 2019 to find out.
Is Everyone Who Turned To Dust Somehow Stuck In The Soul Stone?
Seriously… Where In The World IS Hawkeye?
Some say he might be Ronin in the next movie, some say he might come out of retirement / being under “house arrest” after his family disintegrated.
