Update in 2017: This programme is still active! Don’t wait liao!

Travel Smart Rewards: Have you heard of it before? We haven’t until one day, someone posted an image of a free $21.00 in Facebook.

We were intrigued, and so, we did some research.

And thank God we did, because it’s a gem that should be shared. To simplify things, it’s a system to encourage more Singaporeans to take the train during “decongesting” hours, and to avoid the peak hour of 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

How does it work? Here’s a brief idea:

1. Register your Ez-Link card in their website here: https://travelsmartrewards.sg

2. Within a week, the system will determine whether you are eligible. If so, move on to the next stage

3. Take the train. For each KM you travel, you will receive point / points. Depending on when you take the train, the points will be different. If you take the train during “decongesting hours” (i.e. 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. or 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.), you get a lot more points. There’s even a ranking system!

4. According to the LTA website, with your points, you “stand to win monetary prizes of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 and $200 as well as a monthly lucky draw prize of $1,500.” In addition, for every 1,000 points, you get $1!

So, what are you still waiting for? Just sign up; it’s free, and even if you don’t want to take the train during “decongesting” hours, you’ll still get points!

Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
