Just when you thought that having an Android phone will be safe, this happens: There is a SMS virus that is spreading through SMS. If you receive a message that says, “<your name> is this your photo? <virus url>” (just like the image below), do not click on the URL.
While telecoms have taken the effort to block it, some of you might have accidentally clicked on it. If you have, you may download an anti-virus program and run it in your phone (it may cause your phone to lag due the power required, but you can uninstall it once you’ve cleared the virus). A good one would be AVG at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antivirus&hl=en
