Regardless of where you stay, or what you believe in, most, if not all, people would have said this: there’s a most haunted time in the day, and it is at 3.00 a.m.
There have been countless paranormal encounters and ghostly encounters recorded at this timing, in particular, the ones about singing at 3.00 a.m.
According to several urban legends, it is said that if you sing or whistle at 3:00 a.m., you’re inviting spirits who will then appear in front of you.
Sometimes, since it’s the time whereby they’re the “strongest”, they’ll possess you or disturb you, and in the worst case, even harm you.
But why 3:00 a.m.?
Well, there’re many theories, so we’ll just list down some that are apparently more popular.
Firstly, it is proposed that at 3:00 a.m., the veil between our world and Heaven is at its thinnest, so spirits can reach out to our world easier. This is why singing at this period isn’t advisable as your voice will reach the other world.
The other theory is that since it takes a certain amount of time for spirits to “get used” and become “stronger” after night has fallen, 3:00 a.m. is the time when they are most active—and anytime after 3:00 a.m. would also weaken them as sunlight would have somehow reached earth.
It has also been suggested that if you wake up at 3:00 a.m. regularly, it could have been a warning sign—that spirits are essentially waking you up when they’re most active. If you do remember doing so, maybe it’s time to do something…
