Brace yourself, Singaporeans: It’s finally coming. Days of receiving this SMS (You have used more than your local data bundle on…excess data charges will apply) is going to be history.
Unlimited mobile data plan might be here. Can you smell it?
Recently, you must have been swamped with MyRepublic aggressive publicity campaign about their internet service. A newcomer as one of Singapore’s Internet Service Providers, their 1Gbps speed and some fabulous promotions have surely captured the hearts of many Singaporeans and taken a bit of market share from Singtel and Starhub.
But they’re not complacent. And they’re not stopping there.
While Singtel, Starhub and M1 are worrying about the repercussions from Xiaxue’s exposé, MyRepublic has just come out to declare their desire to be the 4th mobile telecom in Singapore. Here’s the important part of the CEO’s announcement in their Facebook Page:
“With our success in the fixed broadband market, we are now looking to leave an equally indelible impact on Singapore’s mobile market. We want to become Singapore’s 4th telco, and we want to focus on mobile data. 10GB or 12GB data plans shouldn’t be the premium – it should be the norm. Customers should never have to worry about data limits. It is not an add-on. Mobile data IS mobility.
Should the company succeed in becoming a mobile operator, MyRepublic promises a return to the days of much larger and more generous data bundles.
And to offer unlimited mobile data plans.
There’s still much to be done here in Singapore, so let’s get there together.”
We’ve bolded the important part so it’s easier to get an orgasm from it.

Now, before anything, let us all check when our current telecom contract is ending.
Worker’s Party just agree with PAP on something, but there’s another reason why they did that. Watch this to the end and you’ll understand:
