If you love hotdog burgers and barbequed hotdogs, we have some bad news for you – you might want to cut down on them from now on. Eating hot dogs has been found to be just as bad as smoking cigarettes!
Hot dogs are basically processed meats that are high in sodium. Consuming too many hot dogs can lead to high blood pressure and heart disease, which are definitely unhealthy for the body. But the effects of hot dogs don’t just stop here.
Hot dogs also include a lot of preservatives such as nitrites. These minerals have been found to cause cancer in animals. In fact, an American Physicians Commitee have announced that hot dogs can increase a person’s risk of developing colorectal cancer. In fact, they found out that just one hot dog per day can increase the risk of colorectal cancer by a whopping 21 percent.
The news about the danger of hotdogs is so widespread now that they have a billboard warning people about them. In Indiapolis, USA, they have put up a giant billboard on the highway with pictures of hot dogs in cigarette packaging.
