With technology taking over the world, comics are striving to be kept alive. Much less the ones we used to read when we were younger. I mean, who still buy hard copies of comics these days? To relive those great memories, we bring you 9 comics that we all used to read when we were younger.

1. Winnie the Pooh

Just mention Piglet, Eeyore or Tigger and I’m sure you’ll get a whole load of responses. I mean, how could anyone have missed these adorable characters? I really did love colouring their faces in the magazines. And I’m pretty sure we all had bought at least one of these character’s soft toys.

2. Sonic the Hedgehog

This fast paced character was one of my favourites since young. I loved playing with their characters on video and computer games as well. While they are many spin-offs and new characters being added, the classic Sonic will always be remembered fondly.

3. Archie Comics

I remember going into 7-eleven and using my pocket money to buy Archie comics. At that time, my allowance was a mere $1.50 and one Archie comic would cost at least $3. It took days of savings to get one and I would read it countless of times. I collected a huge bag full of Archie comics and I recall crying so much when my parents wanted to dump them all away.

4. Spiderman

Now that it’s made into a movie, most people has long forgotten the times where its comic was the only way to dive into the world of a superhero. I know for a fact that my sister used to plant herself along the aisles of the library, indulging in the world of Spider-Man for hours while I wait impatiently for her to be done.

5. The Young Scientist

I can’t remember the last time someone actually mentioned this magazine but it was definitely one my mother was all too happy to subscribe to. I remember loving the contents of this magazine because of how interesting the stories were. Although I would say they didn’t exactly help in scoring awesome grades for Science.

6. Scooby Doo

Let’s be real, who hasn’t heard of Scooby doo? The adorable loyal dog and the four teenagers who solves mysteries and at the same time, creating loads of hilarious antics. And when they turned it into an animated television series, it was like a dream come true.

7. Pokemon

If you have no idea what Pokemon is, you must have been living under a rock. Pokemon was the prime of everyone’s childhood. And even now, it seems like Pokemon has returned to bring our childhood back to life with Pokemon Go.

8. Tin Tin

It’s been ages since I last heard anyone ever mention this magazine. But come on, you got to know it. After all, Steven Spielberg made a movie out of it called The Adventures of TinTin, so you can be sure it’s pretty darn awesome.

9. Doraemon

This story revolves around a little boy and his good robotic cat called Doraemon. And I’m sure the one thing that we can all remember about Doraemon is how he seems to have literally everything in his pocket. I loved reading its comic just as much as I loved watching the series.
