Boasting a 4.5-star rating on it’s latest version, this app delivers to you the courage to try out different and daring colours. Gathering your courage for a pink, purple and green onslaught? Check it out on the app first before going forward with confidence.

Reviewers have pegged this app as straightforward, basic and easy-to-use. Again, remember to check this out if you’re on iOS.

3. Virtual Makeover

This app is an all-in-one package. Not only does it allow you to experiment with your hairstyle, it also gives you free reign to go wild on make up techniques on your own face. Mascara, eyeliner, blusher and a dash of killer red on your lips? No problem! 

Reviews were mixed, with some saying it doesn’t work while others were happy with the app. Try it out for yourself to decide if you’re on Android.

Claiming to be the ultimate hair colour simulation app for Android, the app has a 3.9-star rating. It promises realistic hair colour simulation and the colour’s responsiveness to different shades. 

Some reviewers have stated that the app doesn’t work so well with curly hair.
