Being a bargain hunter is all about getting the best deal for the lowest price. I, for one, love getting things at a steal. Especially when it comes to things like flight tickets. Saving a couple of hundred on ticket prices can go a long way. Imagine using the extra funds for a shopping round at Chatuchak. You could also use the money for as a buffer for expenses you didn’t predict on your trip.

I’m going to share a few things on how you can outsmart airlines and get hidden discounts with a few extra clicks.

Plan Your Trip Early
The early bird gets the best discounts. You’d even be able to wait for upcoming discounts that may come along the way.

Go on Save Draft Mode
What you need to do is save the ticket just before you click on the payment button on your browser. You might need to log into your Google account for this.

Most airline companies employ Adwords for their advertising. When your browser’s found out that you’ve searched for a particular flight, you’d get a stash of ads with the very coupon codes and discount rates you’ve been looking for.

All thanks to Google AdWords.

Make Use of Prepaid Wallets
What are prepaid wallets? These refer to apps like Mobiwik or Paytm. They’ve got tie-ups with airlines and their online booking webpages. Cleartrip.com is a good example. The company throws in an extra 15% cashback for flights and hotel bookings made with a Paytm wallet.

Mobile Apps
There are companies like Expedia and Booking.com that are soaked in exclusive offers and discounts. You’d get a better price online than walking into a hotel and checking in. You’d even get good prices from using an app to make a booking. Imagine a combo of a mobile app deal, and then top it off with a payment on a prepaid wallet.

Savings galore!

Beating Dynamic Pricing
We’ve all been through this before. You’re in the midst of completing your payment for an airline ticket that’s been tagged at the lowest price. Halfway through, you get a notification that the price is increasing. All you have to do is save the ticket purchase. Right there and then. You’d have to be logged in as a member.

The website will take a note of this, and you’d be offered an exclusive coupon code later on to tempt you to book that saved ticket.
