Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s……

An optical illusion has recently set the Internet on fire, and many people have since tried figuring out what this image is or what it represents. Some find it scary while other amuse at how long it took them to finally figure it out.

The news broke out when a Facebook user, Savannah Root from Lamar, Missouri, shared the black drawing on Facebook last week. Since then, the image which look like a black mess has garnered more than 26,000 likes, 4,500 shares, and nearly 9,000 comments.

In the post, she wrote: ‘I stared at this picture for an hour trying to figure out what it was.’ She then invited other Facebook users to comment and share on what they thought the image was. Some suggestions included a rat hanging upside down with wings, a bird carrying a baby and a penguin doing a wee.

I admit, that on the first glance, I had a pretty hard time trying to figure out what the image was and what it represented. It didn’t take me an hour to figure out because I gave up within 1 minute of guessing and just scrolled down to see the answer.

And yes, once I saw the image, I couldn’t un-see it and it has been so ever since. But for those who love a good guessing game, why not give this a try before giving up like I did?

Hint: Focus on the white and black spaces as they represented different sides of something…
