MLP x KUMOYA

Located at 8 Jalan Klapa, this pop-up cafe boasts a rather fancy door entrance.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Break your way in, and explore a vibrant interior filled with all of your favourite magical flying critters.

Niceeeeeee.

All-around Instagrammable

But that’s not the end of the aesthetics fair, as their food looks real promising too.

Explore from a myriad of MLP enhanced cafe fare such as their…

Twilight Light Shibuya Toast

And honest to goodness Rainbow Shibuya Toast

Now, I haven’t tried the fare for myself so I can’t exactly say it’s freaking delicious…

But as far as aesthetics go it’s a clear winner.

Do note that in order to “create a better dining experience during this pop-up collaboration”, they may limit dining time to 90 minutes. Also, it will open its doors on a strictly walk-in basis only.

Note: it’s not Halal-certified, but it proclaims to not use pork, lard or alcohol.

About Kumoya

Did you know that this isn’t actually Kumoya’s first themed collaboration? That’s right; the Japanese-French inspired cafe has actually done previous partner-ups with animated characters such as Cinnamoroll, Miffy, Care Bears, Tokidoki and Mr Men and Little Miss, and suffice it to say that they were great successes.

Indeed, they’ve been doing themed design pop-up cafes for some time now, and it seems that they’ve no inclination to stop anytime soon, with 2019 plans already in mind.

My Little Ponies

Set in a fictional location named Equestria, the main characters include Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy. Despite their differences, these six became the best of friends, facing challenges, sharing joys and experiencing emotions just like human girls.

And of course, the magic of friendship compels them, which is pretty much why they came to Singapore in the first place.

Cos Singapore is like the friendliest country of them all (no sarcasm intended).

Anyways, I shall end this article off here, and I’ll see you at the cafe on 27 September (if my boss lets me off for some pony-ing anyway).
