This island has been gaining popularity for its lush greenery and a great cycling spot. You’ll spot many couples there, and if you’re lucky, you can even see a proposal first-hand! And if you’re up for some exercise, you can rent a bicycle from Punggol Point Park. Immerse yourself deep in the nature for a day trip with your partner!

Located at the heart of our bustling city, this library is a must-go for couples who like to spend time reading together. They have an extensive collection of books and magazines, and the beautiful architecture just gives an artistic and creative vibe to the place.

Gaining knowledge while gaining Likes in your Instagram; that’s the best of both worlds, indeed.

Gardens by the Bay

One of our local favourite attractions, this garden is the definition of a Singapore garden city. Take a stroll along this romantic garden away from the city and enjoy the peace and serenity, especially if you go there at 12:00 a.m.!

You can visit the OCBC Skyway which is 22m above ground to get a better view of the green garden and observe the supertrees that kind of represent Singapore nowadays. (Note: Admission fee required for Skyway)

Marina Barrage

The things to do there are limitless: you can fly kites, picnic or simply laze on the fields and watch people. Heck, if you’re up to it, you may even take a snapshot of the pretty sunsets at Marina Barrage.

Going for a spontaneous 5km walk along the Southern Ridges could well be the most awarding experience in your life. This beautifully crafted bridge connects Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park as part of the Southern Ridges Walk.

MacRitchie Reservoir Treetop Walk

The treetop walk stands at a height of 250 metres, offering visitors a scenic view of the forest including plants and animals (well, mostly monkeys). This place is one of the most loved attractions among nature lovers and should be on your bucket list with your partner.

Just remember: don’t feed the monkeys! Feeding them is like feeding online trolls: they’ll get more aggressive and you’ll become their number-one target.

Light and Water Show @ MBS

Something relatively now, you can enjoy the illuminated lights and water show at Marina Bay Sands with your date. Known as Southeast Asia’s largest light and water show, the show lasts for 13 minutes and provide a lot of photo opportunities.

Take a walk along the river after the show ends and you’ll find that it’s an amazing place to chill at, with the silhouettes of the skyscrapers and gentle night breeze. And as usual, expect to see wedding proposals here, because #ohsoromantic

Sentosa

Yes, our Singaporean pride. Though it is not exactly free, you can opt for entry through the Boardwalk which only costs $1 instead of taking the monorail. It’s good exercise and a good way to bond with your SO. Lest you think everything there is expensive because it’s for tourist, you’re wrong: There are lots of free things to do at Sentosa, such as heading to the beaches or Fort Siloso.
