Marriage is the union of two people who love each other – it’s being legally bound to each other and being there for each other in sickness and in health. But marriage is also more than that. There are more benefits than just being legally bound.

HDB Flat
Because if you can’t wait till 35, you can always get married and apply for BTO. Housing? Settled liao lor!

A punching bag
Not literally though, we don’t advocate domestic violence. We mean having someone there for us to vent our anger and argue with. You don’t have to keep your emotions to yourself, which means it’s healthier!

Help with chores
Your sister or brother won’t help, but if you get married, you can ask your hubby to help you out. It’s all about gender equality now, men have got to help.

People to go to for money if we are broke for the month. Ladies, it’s not uncommon to hear the saying “Your money is my money, but my money is my money” right?

Personal drivers, to and from work. What could be better?

More reasons to take leave from work
If your husband or wife is sick you can take no pay leave to stay home and look after him/her. If you have a child, you can take leave as well if your child is sick.

Company for crazy things
Like skydiving, or zumba if that’s what you call crazy. It’s really about companionship. Plus doing crazy things usually help to keep the relationship going if things have become stale.
