First dates are usually the most nerve wrecking. It determines if you’re going to change your Facebook status from single to in a relationship because let’s be real, if your first date failed, chances are the girl isn’t going to give you another chance.
So we decided to let you in on a few places that will surely impress your beautiful date.
Esplanade
Every Sunday, the Esplanade concert halls holds a myriad of free entry concerts ranging from musical to theatre. So if your date loves concerts, this would be the perfect place for a first date. Believe us, you’ll definitely find a concert to her liking at Esplanade.
Singapore Botanic Gardens
You can never go wrong with a picnic. Instead of the usual movie and dinner, why not try preparing your own food? A picnic is a perfect way to get to know the person, and you got to admit, it is romantic. Plus it’s insta-worthy too, so you can be sure your date will be posting up pictures on Instagram. Plus, there are always extra brownie points for people who are able to cook!
Marina barrage
And if a picnic isn’t your thing, why not trying flying a kite? While you both are trying to figure out the right time and way to fly the kite, there will be moments of laughter that will help to bond the two of you. If your date is naturally shy, this will be a great choice to ease her up.
Parks
Strolling through the park and gazing upon the wondrous beauty that nature has to offer? What can be better than that? And if you’re tired, simply find a bench to sit on and spend all night talking your hearts out. There’s something about evening times that’ll unleash all the emotions.
Tree Top walk
If your date is an avid nature lover, you might want to try hiking up MacRitchie’s Tree Top walk. It is no an easy feat but it’ll a great way for the both of you to bond. Zoo
This is definitely a no-brainer. The zoo has always been a place where people bring their first dates too but come prepared. It’s going to be a hot day so you might want to pack a few essentials for the both of you. After all, sweating profusely while feeling hungry is never a good combination.
SPCA
While it’s not very conventional to bring your first date to SPCA, it can turn out to be a very interesting one. Show some love to our dear furry friends and you’ll not only be scoring extra points from your date, but you’ll be supporting a good cause too.
Sister Island Marine Park
Here you get to a bucket full of activities such as snorkelling, picnic-ing and even camping. There are always free-guided tours so in the event you’re unsure of the area, simply sign up for the tours! Psst! If you are lucky, you’ll get to spot adorable dolphins too!
Fishing
We understand that fishing can get rather boring, especially the waiting time in between throwing your bait and waiting for a fish to get trapped. But the peace and tranquillity here can turn out to be a rather romantic spot. So if you’re looking for a quiet place to chill with your date, Yishun Dam is the spot for you!
Museum Hopping
Artsy Fartsy people rejoice! We’ve not forgotten our dear creative friends too! Instead of the usual café hopping, why not try museum hopping? It’ll definitely a much more interesting experience and a perk: Your bank will still be looking happy at the end of your date! That’s all that matters, right?
